The Tamilnadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has published TNPSC Group 1 Notification for recruitment to 92 Post of Various Positions.

Education Qualification (as on 21/7/2022)

Applicants should possess a degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or any other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

Group 1 Posts	Preferential Qualification
Deputy Superintendent of Police	Preference shall be given to candidates who possess National awards for Physical efficiency.
Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Taxes)	1st preference- A degree both in Commerce and Law together with a Diploma in Taxation laws.
	2nd preference- A degree both in Commerce and Law
	3rd preference- A degree either in Commerce or Law together with a Diploma in Taxation laws.
	4th preference- A degree either in Commerce or Law.
District Employment Officer	Graduates in Economics / Education / Sociology / Statistics or Psychology
	OR Post Graduate Diploma in Social Science and Experience in Industrial or Personal Management or Labour Welfare.
Assistant Director of Rural Development Department	Post Graduate Degree in Rural Service of the Gandhigram Rural Institute, Madurai District.
	Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Extension. Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Sociology.

 

Note: The applicants, who have written the final year degree examination, may also apply for the Preliminary Examination for direct recruitment to the posts included in Combined Civil Services-I (Group-I Services), subject to the condition that they should produce proof of having passed the degree examination while uploading the original documents for the Main Written Examination (the last date for this activity would be announced later) failing which they will not be admitted to the Main Written Examination.

Physical Qualification

Applicants applying for the posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category I) posts must possess the following Physical Qualifications:-

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category I)	For Men: Must be not less than 165 cms in height and not less than 86 cms round the chest on full inspiration and must have a chest expansion of not less than 5 cms on full inspiration.
	For Women: Must be not less than 155 cms in Height. The Chest measurement will not apply to them.

The selection TNPSC Group 1 exam 2022 will be done on the basis of the following sequence:

3. Interview (Oral Test)
