Global Warming - 10 Mints Seminar Notes

•    Global warming is a term everyone is familiar. Global warming refers to the gradual rise in the overall temperature of the atmosphere of the earth. There are various activities taking place which have been increasing the temperature gradually global warming is melting our ice glaciers rapidly.

•    This is very harmful to the earth as well as humans. It is quiet challenging to control global warming but by identifying the cause of problem we can control global warming.

Cause of Global Warming:

•    Cause of global warming is of two types one is natural and other is man made. The natural causes include the release of greenhouse gases which are not able to escape from the earth causing rise of temperature further volcanic eruption is also responsible for global warming.

•    The eruption release carbon dioxide which contributes to global warming. Similarly methane is also a big issue for global warming. After that excessive use of automobiles and fossil fuels increase the level of carbon dioxide. In addition activities like mining and cattle rearing are also harmful.

•    One of most common issue taking place is deforestation. So one of the biggest sources of absorption of carbon dioxide will only disappear. There will be nothing left to regulate gas. Steps must be taken immediately to stop global warming and make the earth better again.

Effect of Global Warming:

•    There are many hazardous effect. It includes melting of polar ice caps. Leading to an increase in sea level drowning coastlines and slowly submerging continents.

•    Another effect is climate change more cyclonic storms, heat waves, drought and extreme rainfall causing disaster to human kind.

Solutions:

•    Global warming can be stopped when combined efforts are put in both individual and government have to take steps towards achieving it.

•    We must begin with reduction of green house gas.

•    We must monitor the consumption of gasoline, switch to hybrid car to reduce the release of carbon dioxide people must choose public transport or carpool together recycling must be encouraged.

•    On the government part they must regulate industrial waste and ban them from emitting harmful gases in the air.

•    Deforestation must be stopped immediately and planting of trees must be encouraged.

•     In short all of us must realize the fact that our earth is not well. It needs to treatment and we can help it heat.

•    The present generation must take up responsibility to stop global warming to prevent the suffering of future generation.
