The State Bank of India (SBI) has published the SBI PO Recruitment 2021 Notification for recruitment to 2056 Posts of Probationary Officers (PO).

In 2056 vacancies, 2000 Vacancies are regular vacancies for 2021-22 and 56 vacancies are Backlog.

Salary / Pay Scale for SBI PO

The Initial Basic Pay for SBI PO will be Rs. 41,960/- (with 4 advance increments) in The Pay Scale of Rs. 36000 – 1490/7 – 46430 – 1740/2 – 49910 – 1990/7-63840.

Other Than Basic Pay, SBI PO will also be entitled for various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), H.R.A / Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules.

Eligibility Criteria / Educational Qualification

Candidates Having Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University As On 31.12.2021 Can Apply Online for SBI PO 2021.

Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply for SBI PO 2021 provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2021..

Age Limit

Candidates in the age group of 21-30 years as on 01.04.2021 can apply online for SBI PO 2021 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.2000 and not earlier than 02.04.1991 (both days inclusive) to apply online for SBI PO Recruitment 2021.

Ex Servicemen, Commissioned officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within 6 months from the last date of receipt of application) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or physical disability attributable to military service or invalidment.   

Selection Process 

The selection for Probationary Officers in SBI will be done through a three-tier process –

•    Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

•    Phase-II: Main Examination

         (i) Objective Test

         (ii) Descriptive Test

•    Phase-III: In view of the Social Distancing and safety measures necessitated due to COVID-19 pandemic, the 3rd Phase may comprise of

         (i)    Interview only (50 marks) OR

        (ii)    Interview (30 marks) & Group Exercises (20 marks).

Application Fees 

Application Fee for SBI PO 2021 will be Rs. 750/- for General / EWS/ OBC candidates and ‘Nil’ for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.
